A simple electromagnet can be made with the following materials. You will need a iron nail/rod, Some thin copper wire, A battery, And some time. Start by wrapping the copper wire around the iron nail until it is fully covered. make sure that both ends of the copper wire are visible. Connect both ends to a battery and start picking up paperclips!
