The graviton was first theorized in the 1930's by two Soviet physicists by the names of Dmitrii Blokhintsev and F. M. Gal'perin. The graviton is the theoretical carrier particle of the force known as gravity. See https://www.wsnmedia.net/post/what-is-gravity-and-why-do-i-find-it-attractive for more on that.
The graviton is one of the carriers of the 4 fundamental forces, Electromagnetism, strong nuclear force, weak nuclear force, and Gravity. The electromagnetic force is mediated by what are called Gauge Bosons, the Nuclear force is mediated by Mesons, and gravity? The Graviton! at least we think it is...Graviton is just the name we have given this theoretical particle.
A graviton has a mass of 0, an electric charge of 0 e, and a spin of 2.
Until we can prove the existence of the Graviton, we will only be able to speculate what forces guided the cosmos and make life possible.
