Oxygen, oh sweet tasteless, odourless, colourless oxygen. Without it we would not be alive.
Oxygen is the third most abundant element in the universe by mass and is a highly reactive non-metal and oxidising agent. Oxygen has an atomic weight of 15.999 and an atomic number of 8. At room temperature, two oxygen atoms will bind to form a diatomic gas called O2 (Di-oxygen), an allotrope of Oxygen.
Oxygen is an essential component of processes such as Cellular respiration and is a necessary component of cells and proteins.
Oxygen's Diatomic allotrope, dioxygen makes up 20.8% of the Earths atmosphere.
In the absence of Oxygen, a life form such as humans will under go a process called asphyxiation which will kill you dead. Good Day.

That's no problem, I answered your question in the previous article. Also, your question really did make me think for a bit there and so I might make an article about it. Thanks!
Guess I should have read this article before commenting on the last one.
